Thermometer episode

Enough with all my got-caught-bunking experiences. I have more things to write and share with my dear readers.
This supposedly was my first chem pracs class since the time i was got caught bunking. Rouse and i were were lab partners, and were seated in the last row of tables with madhu, and were as usual not paying attention to the teacher(kanchana). We were supplied with a thermometer and an empty beaker, with which we had to perform some specific experiment. Kanchana spotted all the three of us talking and cracking jokes,and not working with the apparatus given, and thus started towards our table. Rouse, did not want to meet the principal again and had had enough, but as he had not paid attention to her when she explained to the whole class as to what we were supposed to do with the apparatus given, he immediately filled the beaker with tap water and stirred the water with the thermometer(and this was all he could come up with). Of course,this looked really stupid and we were again accused of distracting the class, and being a nuisance to the teachers. Kanchana started off with her shouts, which mostly made no sense to any of us, thanks to her grammatic and poetic choice of words. She then asked us why we attended classes if we didnt really want to learn chemistry, to which rouse immediately replied in a whisper, "Class-ku vandhaalum thappu...varalanaalum thappu...enna solla vara ivva?"
